Metals Analysis
Chemical testing capabilities of metals by ATS Chemistry includes everything from Aluminum to Zinc and all the elements in between. The metals analysis group at ATS has the instrumentation to determine the chemical composition of almost any metal alloy regardless of shape or size. Using our Optical Emission Spectrometers, we can rapidly determine chemical compositions without dissolving the sample.
If we must dissolve your sample, we use a variety of analytical techniques including ICP Atomic Emission, Atomic Absorption and LECO Analyzers for Carbon, Sulfur, Oxygen and Nitrogen. Our chemical analysis personnel are experts in trouble-shooting and problem solving when it comes to your analytical needs.
What if your sample is in a boiler system, chemical line, or fixed in some other system integral to your operation? ATS can come to your site to analyze the component.
ATS offers Non-Destructive On-Site Chemical Analysis commonly known as positive material identification (PMI). Using our portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer, we can determine the composition of 21 common elements found in iron, aluminum, nickel, cobalt and copper-based alloys. The PMI instrument portability means fast rapid response saving you time and money. If a job site is within 500 miles of our Atlanta facility, we can typically be at your job site within 24 hours from when you first contact us.
