The Chemistry Department at ATS, Inc. can test consumer products for the presence of heavy metals and restricted organic compounds.  These compounds and heavy metals have been detected in products ranging from toys to hair care products and have been tested to verify that the levels (total and soluble) are within the acceptable limits.  As products are shipped and sourced worldwide, it has become increasingly important to verify the integrity and safety of consumer products.  Congress has recently enacted legislation that broadens the scope of toy safety requirements.  Additionally the requirements have become more restrictive as to the amounts of hazardous heavy metals that can be present in a product.
