What is Calibrations?

The world of Calibrations is both systematic and experimental in nature. Calibrations is best defined as "an association between measurements", where the accuracy of a piece of equipment is measured against the "applied" standard to evaluate the competence of the equipment. Calibrations is important since it confirms the confidence and precision of tools to ensure accurate application of the equipment in the real world.


ATS is looking for experienced candidates to fill multiple Calibration Technician jobs in our corporate office in Marietta, Georgia. We are looking for technicians possessing a strong sense of intuition and sound judgment in Metrology principles and concepts for real-world application. This is a wonderful chance for one to expand on their understanding of the scope of Calibration and Metrology.

About this Job

Generally, the Calibration Technician performs the inspection and testing services of measuring equipment and instrumentation. The ATS Calibration Lab offers numerous disciplines of Calibration Technician jobs, including:

Electronics Calibration Technician: utilize tools such as Extech Meter, Light Meter, Fluke Meter, and Clamp Meter to test competency of electrical equipment

Environmental Calibration Technician: utilize temperature wells, humidity chambers, infrared sensors, and thermal monitors calibrating environmental recording devices

Calibration Manager: also referred to as “Calibrations Engineer, Calibrations Supervisor”, fit for an individual with many years of experience working within Metrology/Calibrations. Assumes responsibility of planning, coordination, and supervision of all Calibrations departments of ATS, evaluates potential opportunities for advancement

Calibration Technician jobs are expected to report and analyze findings in conclusion of the evaluation process. This is to ensure clients receive adequate calibration insight into their equipment.

Calibration Technician positions can be either Laboratory or Field (On-site) based. Field Calibration Technician positions require daily travel within a 5-hour range of Marietta, Georgia. Overnight travel is required when necessary (dependent on project and client needs).


Candidates must have prior job experience and/or education based in Metrology/Calibrations. Desirable Calibration candidates also possess the following characteristics:

Experience and understanding of necessary tools in use to various test equipment

Reliable analytical skills, able to draw valuable inferences from regular technical reporting

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, initiative and personal drive

Ability to work either in a team setting or independently

Basic computer literacy skills, understanding of utilized applications (Microsoft Office)
