  • Interior Steel Tank w/o Corrosion Protection – Per 9.2.6.1.1 - tanks inspected every 3 years
  • Exterior Tank - Per 9.2.5.1 – quarterly inspections

ATS Visual Inspection Options

  • In-service Underwater Submersible Remote Operated Vehicle(ROV) Evaluation
  • Out-of-service Traditional Visual Inspection of Drained Tank

If your interior visual tank inspection shows signs of pitting, corrosion or coating failures you will need to reference 9.2.6 which states additional testing is required.

Examples of Additional Testing Outlined in 9.2.6:

  • Adhesion Testing
  • Dry Film Thickness Measurements
  • NDT Ultrasonic Thickness Testing(UTT) on Tank Shell and Floor
  • Wet Sponge Testing/Spark Testing
  • Vacuum-box Testing

Tank Components

Internal and external tank components can present vulnerabilities subject to failures and discontinuities. Our detailed reports will reflect findings that may or may not be caused by fatigue, corrosion, and physical damage.
