UT Training

ut training

At Applied Technical Services, our UT training classes are designed to give students a better understanding of a number of core competencies resulting in application of inspections in product forms and structures, such as castings, forgings, weldments, and various materials.

UT training classes are broken down into a number of segments to offer a better, more focused curriculum.

UT Training Level I – 40 Hours

Level I UT training courses begin with the fundamentals of Ultrasonics. Students will participate in a wide range of practical laboratory exercises, giving them real-world experience in terms of thickness gauging, flaw detection, mapping, and more. Level I courses are designed for technicians who come into a class with little to no ultrasonic testing experience.

UT Training Level II – 40 Hours

Level II UT training courses take learning to the next level, offering an advanced and intensive course designed to help students develop their practical skills. Applications that are featured in Level II courses include bond inspection, weld inspection, and various other types of techniques. These courses are intended for technicians that have completed Level I training and, therefore, already have some level of UT experience.
