Additive Manufacturing Testing

ATS has acquired a new Microtrac S3500 to increase our powder testing capabilities and to better serve the additive manufacturing industry.  The Microtrac S3500 uses laser light diffraction to provide particle size distribution testing per ASTM B822. This helps to ensure that 3D printing feedstock material meets manufacturer physical requirements, which is critical to printing performance and part viability. The instrument is also equipped with Dynamic Image Analysis, which is an automated technique for determination of particle morphology.
