Bo 131 03 Ford Interior Odor Test
Our Automotive Testing lab at Applied Technical Services has the capacty to perform the BO 131-03 Interior Odor Test for Ford automobiles.
The BO 131-03 Interior Odor Test defines the process used to test the odor arising from interiors that conduct air into the main cabin compartments of Ford automobiles. The BO-131 Ford Interior Odor Test is conducted as follows:
- The sample material is hooked onto a wire ring and suspended into a jar (with or without water)
- The sample is exposed to one of the 4 specified conditions for the pre-determined amount of time and temperature
- Evaluation of odor from the jar is made by a third-party assessor, using a 6-grade scale to rate the intensity, ranging from not perceptible to extremely disturbing
A test report, defining the methodology and findings, is then prepared.
