Solar Simulation – DIN ISO 75220

Weathering effects due to sunlight exposure can be cosmetic (color fading, gloss change) or more structural in nature (paint blistering, flaking, etc.). Both can have significant consequences to manufacturers of products subjected to sunlight radiation.

To meet an increasing demand from the automotive industry, ATS now offers a solar simulation system compliant with DIN ISO 75220.

In addition to this new system, the Environmental Simulations Group operates a total of Seven (7) Atlas Ci4000 chambers and Six (6) QSUN chambers.

Placed inside one of ATS’ walk-in thermal chambers, the DIN ISO 75220 setup can perform testing on exterior components (bumpers) or interior components (dashboards) through the use of an indoor simulation box.
