Wet Film Thickness
Wet film thickness testing consists of analyzing the coating upon its initial application using Notched Gauges, Step Gauges, and MIL Gauges. Wet film thickness testing is a highly effective method for measuring coating, inspecting quality control, and overall coating evaluation. Wet film thickness testing results are immediate and provide detailed information on wear and corrosion damage as well.
Dry Film Thickness
Dry film thickness testing, commonly referred to as DFT, is a highly accurate coating inspection service that yields crucial information regarding the coating’s projected life cycle and can be used for single layer and multiple layer coatings. Dry film thickness testing also reveals potential compliance violations due to flaws in coating. This is a cost-effective service that is typically used in every applicable inspection and requires that coating has completely cured/dried before the coating testing method can be performed.
