August 29 − September 2
Non-Film RT Level II Transition (NAS410) -40 Hours
This course is intended to satisfy the requirements of NAS410, Revision 5 for certified Level 2 and Level 3 film radiography personnel who are transitioning from film radiography to non-film radiography or are adding non-film radiography to their skill set. The course is structured based upon the recommendations of the Federal Working Group on Industrial Digital Radiography and ANSI/ASNT CP-105; it introduces the technology of digital imaging, addresses the differences between film radiographic techniques and non-film techniques including computed radiography, digital detector array radiography, computed tomography, fluoroscopy, and real-time radioscopic techniques; and covers non-film image quality considerations (CNR, SNR, SRb, etc.) and process controls.
