Types of Chemistry Labs

Organic Lab – Capable of analyzing organic compounds ranging from simple alkalines to more complex compounds. Whether you are needing to quantify and/or identify these compounds, our state of the art instrumentation delivers accurate and clear results. Our comprehensive testing is capable of determining a long list of compounds.
Organic Lab Instrumentation – Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS), LC MS Triple Quadrupole Detector, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), Karl Fischer – Moisture Detection, Ultraviolet/Visible Analysis (UV/VIS), Dynamic Headspace Analysis, Static Headspace Analysis, Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC), and Pyrolysis Gas Chromatograph (pGC/MS).
Metals Lab – Capable of chemical analysis/testing of metals ranging from Aluminum to Zinc and all elements in between. Our chemists can determine chemical composition of almost any metal alloy regardless of shape and size. Depending on your required procedure we have a variety of instrumentation that offer effective and accurate test results.

Metals Lab Instrumentation – Optical Emission Spectrometers (OES), Inductively Coupled Plasma – Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-AES), Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (WDXRF), Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), LECO Combustion, Electrodeposition, and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS).

Polymer Lab – Lab analyzes and tests chemical, mechanical and thermal properties of polymeric materials.
Contamination Lab – ATS analysts have experience in identifying the type and source of a wide range of contaminates that can be the result of plant production lines or other processes.

Tools Used For Contamination Analysis – Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM/EDS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR), Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), Ion Chromatography (IC).

Consumer Product Testing Lab – With years of experience, our staff is highly familiar with compliance requirements for consumer product testing. Our capabilities range from testing for mechanical hazards to analyzing for regulated elements/compounds.
