Shunt Calibrations

Applied Technical Services provides shunt calibrations. Current shunts, also known as shunt resistors, are used to measure Alternating Currents (AC) or Direct Currents (DC) by the voltage drop across the resistance. These shunt resistors are connected in series with the current flow. The current flow is calculated using Ohm’s Law or by calibrated meter movements. It is important to get your shunts calibrated to ensure the accuracy of measurements.

Applied Technical Services has an Electronic Calibrations Lab that is capable of calibrating most commercial off the shelf (COTS) equipment. Most precision measuring equipment require regular calibration services. ATS is a well-known leader in the calibrations world for our NIST traceable, ISO 17025 Accredited calibrations. We can provide a 5 to 7-day turnaround on most in-house calibration orders. We also can use our Quality Approved Vendors to provide a centralized location for all your calibration needs.

Our quality assurance system complies with the applicable requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO 9001, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR Part 21 and ISO/IEC 17025. We are also able to provide calibrations that are accredited to A2LA.
