Applied Technical Services offers OES analysis services that determine the elemental composition of various metals and alloys. OES is ideal for clients that require accurate, quantitative breakdowns of soft metals.

What is OES?

Optical emission spectroscopy, or OES, introduces electrical charges to samples to create a chemical signature that reveals the elemental breakdown of a sample. OES analyzers consist of three primary components, an electric spark, a device that captures light, and a computer system that processes the data and reveals the concentration of the elements present in the sample. OES can analyze samples that in melt primary and secondary metal production, including plates, rods, wires, tubes, and bolts made of common materials such as nickel, copper, cobalt, and titanium.

Advantages

  • Quick Results
