Summary
We are actively seeking interns to support our NDT Outage Department during the Fall 2019 Outage Season. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in the field of NDT. As an intern you will train with Certified, Trained NDT Technicians in the field and work with top notch personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interns will be responsible for assisting with inspections and supporting customers on a daily basis at various customer sites. Collect, manage, and evaluate test data for accuracy and consistency. Must be able to read technical documents and engineering specifications. Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures. Work safely; maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures. Proven ability to adapt to an ever-changing schedule. Interns will learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and written procedures.
Minimum Qualifications Necessary for Consideration
- Must be an active student enrolled at a college or university
- Pursuing a career path in: Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Must have excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Willing to train on non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures (Field Work)
- Must be willing to travel 100% (Will be traveling to customer sites, NO Office Work)
Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be currently enrolled in college or university
Work Conditions
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
- Will be required to travel to client locations and sites
- Must have the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of climbing ladders and scaffolds as well as being able to get into confined spaces
