ATS has the capability to perform adjustable thread calibration with American Gage Design and Southern Style Thread Ring Gages. ATS has hundreds of thread setting plugs with standards and special pitch diameter in English and Metric. ATS is also capable of calibrating special gages when a setting plug is unavailable from .12 inch to 5.5 inch PD.
Our Calibration Procedures
ATS takes special care of cleaning and inspecting our customer’s adjustable thread gage before calibration to ensure the correct fit. All gages are cleaned prior to testing and are placed in the Standards Calibration Lab to stabilize for a minimum of 24 hours. Our environmentally controlled lab maintains temperatures within 67-69 ˚F and 30-55% relative humidity. The lab also has isolation joints in the flooring to reduce any vibration effects.
We participate regularly in “Round Robin Gage Measurement Proficiency Testing” in accordance with our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditations.
Calibration Traceability and Reporting
All of our calibrations include the measurement and documentation of As Found and As Left Data. Our calibrations are NIST-traceable and performed according to documented and controlled procedures.
Our Quality Assurance system complies with the applicable requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B, and 10CFR Part 21. The ATS Calibration lab holds an ISO 9001:2015 registration and an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation. Upon request, we can provide calibrations that are accredited to A2LA.
