RTCA Do 160 Testing

Applied Technical Services’ accredited lab offers environmental testing for avionics components and equipment. We are ISO 9001 and A2LA/ISO17025 certified and our labs are supplied with the latest state-of-the-art technology for extensive testing applications. ATS complies with the RTCA DO-160 standard for environmental condition and test procedures for airborne equipment established by the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA).

ATS’ testing procedures aid our clients in determining if their components are capable of enduring the environmental stresses throughout the duration of their avionic product or parts’ life span. Our engineers and techs have the experience and knowledge to analyze data and administer their findings from any deficiencies in defective design, unsuitable materials or problematic manufacturing processes.

Testing Applications:
  • Section 17 — Voltage Spike
  • Section 18 — Audio Frequency Conducted Susceptibility- Power Inputs
  • Section 19 — Induced Signal Susceptibility
  • Section 20 — Radio Frequency Susceptibility
  • Section 21 — Emission of Radio Frequency Energy
  • Section 22 — Lighting Inducted Transient Susceptibility
  • Section 23 — Lighting Direct Effects
  • Section 24 — Icing
  • Section 25 — Electrostatic Discharge
  • Section 26 — Fire, Flammability
