Applied Technical Services’ RoHS testing lab performs compliance testing to provide our manufacturing clients with the knowledge they need to prepare their products for review and distribution in the European Union (EU).
Comply with EU Directives
The EU RoHS 2 (Directive 2011/65/EU) restricts the use of specific hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), medical devices, and monitoring and control equipment. The purpose of RoHS is to control the release of hazardous substances to humans and the environment. Exposure to these hazardous substances can occur during the waste process when electronics and other products are disposed of and ultimately wind up in landfills. To ensure that their product is compliant with this consumer safety law, manufacturing companies send samples of their product materials to qualified RoHS testing labs, such as ATS.
ATS’ RoHS Testing Lab
We are a CPSC-accredited lab, testing children’s consumer goods, childcare articles, and toys to comply with federal regulations. Below is a list of the various items our lab tests with regards to consumer product safety testing. This list is not limited to these items, but serves as an example of some of the more common items requiring Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) testing. The CPSIA requirements for toy testing may also vary by item.
Please contact us to discuss your consumer goods testing requirements in further detail, and have us help you determine the applicable compliance regulations.
