ATS Computed Tomography Services
Applied Technical Services (ATS) offers CT (Computed Tomography) Services for clients looking to analyze and verify the quality of their products. The demand for Computed Tomography has increased in recent years due to advancements in computer technology, allowing CT scans to provide an efficient, nondestructive method of testing for industrial purposes. ATS’ advanced Tomography machines can aid manufacturing companies throughout a product’s design and analysis phases, as well as being capable of accurately locating internal deficiencies during failure investigations.
When performing a CT inspection, an object is placed inside a machine where it is situated between an X-ray projector and an X-ray detector (also known as a DR Panel). The machine then proceeds to take multiple X-ray images by rotating the projector on an axis around the examined test material. Through a process called tomographic reconstruction, all data collected by the machine is then converted by a computer into cross-sectional pictures that can then be formed into a virtual 3D model. Our detailed, three-dimensional CT scans are highly useful in measuring interior dimensions and discovering hidden design flaws.
Testing Capabilities
All of our Computed Tomography services are performed by ATS’ well-trained CT technicians, who use cutting-edge equipment to provide comprehensive tests and inspections.
Our industrial CT scanning tools include:
