Applied Technical Services provides industrial rope access training for candidates of all experience and skill levels. Rope access systems are an inexpensive, versatile alternative to costly structures such as scaffolding, allowing access to difficult-to-reach locations by trained rope access technicians. The implementation of rope access systems has saved companies hundreds of thousands of dollars on individual projects, causing a rapid demand increase for certified rope access technicians. Industrial rope access training teaches individuals how to navigate rope access systems safely and effectively at great heights to perform operations including but not limited to:
- Building, Bridge, and Dam Inspections
- Fire Rescue
- Turbine Maintenance and Repair
- Industrial Chimney and Stacks Maintenance
- Surface Preparation and Sealant Installation
- Painting, Sandblasting, and Pressure Washing
- Welding
- Instrument Installation
Getting Certified with Applied Technical Services
Candidates seeking industrial rope access training through Applied Technical Services will undergo education and instruction to work under the standards set by SPRAT, the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians. ATS’ rope access classes are held over five sessions, providing hands-on instruction that allows each trainee to develop the necessary skills and knowledge for a career in rope access. There are three levels of rope access certification:
- Level I: Qualifies workers to conduct basic rope access functions under the supervision of Rope Access Lead Technicians (Level II) and Rope Access Supervisors (Level III).
- Level II: Qualifies technicians to conduct rope access functions and safety assessments of rope access operations under the supervision of a Rope Access Supervisor (Level III).
- Level III: Qualifies supervisors to assume the responsibility of rope access work sites. This allows the directing and conducting of rope rescue operations and the design and analysis of rope access systems.
