ATS operates a testing lab that complies with the requirements of Nuclear Quality programs, allowing us to partner with those that service the nuclear industry to ensure products comply with the stringent requirements.
Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) is a process where appropriate tests are conducted according to a test plan developed to verify critical characteristics, and therefore provide reasonable guarantees that a commercial grade component can be used as a safety-related item in a nuclear plant application.
Our ISO 9001:2015-registered and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (A2LA)-accredited quality assurance program meets the Nuclear Quality Requirements of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, Part 21 and ASME NQA-1. ATS’ quality program has been successfully audited by Nuclear Procurement Issues Committee (NUPIC). Additionally, ATS is a member of Nuclear Industry Assessment Corporation (NIAC).
Chemistry Testing Services – Material Identification of Metals/Oxides for CGD includes:
- XRF (PMI)
- Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES)
- Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP)
- Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS)
- X-Ray Diffraction (XRD)
- Wet Chemistry
- Ion Chromatography (IC)
ATS’ quality assurance program meets the most stringent industry requirements, and has been certified to ISO 9001:2015. Our testing laboratories also carry ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (A2LA) accreditation.
