Applied Technical Services offers Integrated Leak Rate Testing (ILRT) at Nuclear facilities around the world.
Why do you need to perform Integrated Leak Rate Tests (ILRT) in nuclear plants?
An ILRT is the process of pressurizing reactor containment and then testing for pressure decay. Our experts use this method to determine whether containment is leak-free and can resume safe operation under the strict guidelines of the 10CFR 50 Appendix B program.
ATS has performed over 100 ILRTs since Option B to 10 CFR 50 Appendix J went into effect in 1993. We retain a highly experienced testing group as full-time employees.
ATS has full control over all the critical instrumentation used to perform ILRT testing. This includes all data acquisition software, calibration, and maintenance. In addition, all equipment is manufactured in-house with 30 years of historical data under strict program guidelines. All calibrations are fully accredited under ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Reasons to Perform an ILRT:
- Verifying Environmental and Public Safety Silting
- Ensuring Full Containment Integrity Corrosion Products
- Regulatory Compliance and Licensing Personnel and procedural errors
- Structuring Long-Term Maintenance and Surveillance
Our technicians bring decades of experience and proven testing techniques, providing full clarity into the integrity of client containment systems.
