Drone Aerial Inspection Equipment
ATS uses the latest in drone inspection technology utilizing Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) systems that allow navigation by global positioning. The RTK system is accurate to within a centimeter, which allows for pinpoint localized spotting. Our expert pilots make use of drone maneuverability, hover, and stability modes to capture precise 4K images and video footage. Our drones feature various camera mounts for infrared and high-resolution with optical and digital zoom. Extended flight times accommodate the heights and conditions associated with taller structure inspections.
Drone Aerial Inspection Personnel
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulates drones to maintain safe, manageable airways. ATS complies with all FAA regulations on commercial drone use while performing drone-supported inspections. ATS pilots maintain training and a FAA part 107 licensure. FAA guidelines for commercial drone operation include:
- Equipment may only be guided by an FAA licensed drone pilot.
- Drone planned for commercial use must be registered with the FAA.
- Drone (including any payload) must weigh less than 55 lbs.
- Operator may only fly drone in visual sightline during outside inspections.
- Pilot may only fly drone at a max 100 mph.
- Pilot may not fly drone over persons.
- Pilot may not operate drone equipment from a moving vehicle.
