Rope access classes instruct candidates on how to safely work at various elevations using ropes access systems and associated equipment. Trainees attaining rope access certification through Applied Technical Services will be trained to work in compliance with the standards set by SPRAT, the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians.

Getting Certified with ATS
Applied Technical Services offers intensive five-day rope access classes that provide candidates with hands-on training, providing each student with the training and education to develop the necessary rope access knowledge and skills. Our classes consist of four days of instruction on topics such as knot tying, anchorage combination, equipment maintenance, and rescue protocol. Students will complete their independently proctored certification exam on the final day of class. ATS certification offerings:
- SPRAT Level I: Rope Access Worker: Qualifies a worker to execute basic rope access operations under the supervision of a lead technician or supervisor.
- SPRAT Level II: Rope Access Lead Technician: Qualifies technicians to perform rope access operations, rescue operations, and safety assessments under a supervisor.
- SPRAT Level III: Rope Access Supervisor: Qualifies supervisor to oversee rope access sites, design and assess rope access systems, and direct rescue operations.
ATS rope access classes also satisfy 10CFR P21 (Reporting of Non-compliance), 10CFR P50 Appendix B (Quality Assurance Criteria for Nuclear Powerplants), and ASME NQA-1 (Nuclear Quality Assurance Requirements) quality standards.
