Applied Technical Services is a provider of high-quality testing, consulting, and inspection services. Since 1967, ATS has established an excellent reputation for the various services we offer to several industries. We are known for uncovering facts in chemical analysis, metallurgy, materials testing, nondestructive testing, destructive testing, calibrations, and forensics.
ATS offers pipeline integrity testing, using both non-destructive and destructive test methods. To prevent sudden and costly pipeline failures, operators must have a defined integrity management plan. Staying up to date with the integrity and structure of your pipelines is critical to planning and prioritizing preventative maintenance measures. The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) has a set rule that mandates these preventative maintenance measures and their documentation to standardize pipeline inspections and assessments.
We are equipped and able to perform pipeline integrity testing in alignment with the PHMSA ruling. We have many experts with various backgrounds, including chemistry, mechanical, and metallurgical testing, that can take a multi-disciplinary approach to conduct the testing that our clients require. Common integrity test methods used on pipelines include tensile testing, Charpy impact testing, and chemical analysis.

NDT Capabilities with Pipeline Integrity Testing
Along with destructive testing, Applied Technical Services has the capability to perform nondestructive testing on pipelines and other assets. Operators must keep documentation of their materials and components; when getting preventative maintenance performed, qualified inspectors may use NDT methods before conducting certain destructive test methods.
