Ultrasonic Testing Services

Applied Technical Services offers NDT ultrasonic testing (UT) to detect flaws, take dimensional measurements, and enable material characterization. UT is recognized for having the highest depth of penetration to detect subsurface flaws. Our sophisticated ultrasonic testing equipment is highly accurate in determining flaw position and estimating size and shape. In most cases, it is necessary to have only one side access, and our technicians can evaluate with immediate results.

Our Capabilities

ATS offers traditional ultrasonic NDT services as well as specialized types of UT testing:

We use ultrasonic testing techniques that can detect common and uncommon discontinuities caused by base material processes and fabrication. We are experts in detecting flaws found in ingots, continuous castings, billets, plate and sheets, bar and rod, pipe and tubular products, forgings, castings, composites, and welds.

Our certified staff of NDT technicians provide quality inspection services for a broad range of industry sectors throughout the US and abroad. NDT UT services are offered in our laboratories, field locations, and on customer premises.
