Seismic Vibration Testing IEEE 344 Services
Applied Technical Services, Inc. now offers in-house seismic vibration testing IEEE 344 services in full compliance with the requirements for equipment that is used in Nuclear Power Generating Stations. Such tests are required to demonstrate that the equipment can perform satisfactorily during and following a safe shutdown event upon an earthquake. Performance requirements for both SSE (safe shutdown earthquake) proceeded by a number of OBEs (operating basis earthquakes) are verified.
This standard guide is typically utilized either by equipment manufacturers to substantiate performance claims, or by users to verify performance of components or systems as part of a qualification program.
