  • Review of Fabrication – Weld Equipment, joint prep, Fit-up, Thermal Cutting Process, Distortion Control, and Dimensional Tolerances
  • Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) & Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ)

  • Inspection and NDT – Observation under AWS D1.1 and AISC and Visual Inspection, AWS, ASME, EN, ISO, IBC, etc.

Special Inspections – Spray Applied Fireproofing

Many times, new commercial structures or existing structures that are going through renovations or upgrades will need a Spray Applied Fireproofing Inspection. The inspections will include items listed below:

  • Review of International Building Codes and Its Recommended Application of Fire-resistive Materials
  • Review Fire Resistive Material Manufacturer Application Instructions and Repair Recommendations
  • Identify New, Renovated, or High Traffic Areas that Needed Inspection
  • Visually Identify Damage Areas to Ensure Fire-resistive Material has Proper Thickness and Bonding
  • Confirm Proper Fire-resistive Material Being Applied
  • Consider Other Standards - ASTM E605, ASTM E736, IBC, American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC)
