The Applied Technical Services Family of Companies (FoC) is a trusted provider of Boeing NDT services. Boeing is one of the most prominent names in the entire aerospace industry and has over 14,000 aircraft in their global fleet today. Our aerospace NDI lab possesses the necessary credentials and capabilities to conduct non-destructive tests on Boeing aircraft and components, thereby ensuring their safety and reliability in flight.

Nondestructive Testing in the Aerospace Industry

Nondestructive testing (NDT) is critical to maintaining the safety and reliability of modern aerospace systems, enabling technicians to inspect and evaluate planes and their various components without the risk of damage. Nondestructive testing technologies are imperative to ensuring the compliance of aircraft and extending their lifecycles. There are various NDT methods used in the aerospace industry, including the following:

  • Ultrasonic tests
  • Eddy current tests
  • Radiography
  • Magnetic particle tests
  • Liquid penetrant tests

Each of the aforementioned testing methods has its respective advantages and disadvantages when inspecting components of a certain size, shape, or location. An informed and trained technician can help decide which methodology would best serve your testing needs.

About Our Boeing NDT Services

Our state-of-the-art aerospace NDI laboratory offers accredited procedures conducted by certified personnel with decades of collective experience. We maintain industry‑recognized certifications, employ qualified Level II and Level III technicians, and prioritize the needs and requirements of our customers. Our Boeing NDT services are adept at evaluating the following types of equipment:

  • Engine components, including turbine blades, casings, and discs
  • Wing ribs and spars
  • Skin panels and fuselage lap joints
  • Bonded assemblies
  • Composite materials

The Boeing Airworthiness Directive

In December 2025, the FAA issued a new airworthiness directive for Boeing Model 757 airplanes that may be susceptible to corrosion. Our lab would be an excellent option for the owners and operators of affected aircraft, and we also assist our clients in complying with other regulations established by the FAA and EASA.
