NADCAP
The National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program, also known as NADCAP, is a cooperative program for major manufacturing companies. NADCAP provides a cost-effective approach that manages special processes and products while ensuring compliance with standards for the approval process of supplies through the Performance Review Institute (PRI). NADCAP operates through industry consensus based on experts in each facet of production.
The Importance of NADCAP
Undergoing NADCAP certification helps companies gain a new perspective on their functionality, as the auditing process identifies areas for improvement and gives market recognition to areas already doing well. Recording the quality of a workplace highlights whether a process is outdated, if a workflow is difficult, or if a specific process indicator needs prioritization.
NADCAP NDI at ATS
Though Applied Technical Services performed nondestructive inspection (NDI) for years, our Marietta, Georgia facility earned its initial NADCAP accreditation to perform film radiography, liquid penetrant, and magnetic particle in 2012. We broadened our accreditation to include eddy current and ultrasound inspections in 2016.
