Serving the Pulp and Paper Industry
For over 50 years Applied Technical Services has established itself as a leading nondestructive testing company with comprehensive inspection and analysis capabilities serving some of the most recognizable names in the pulp and paper industry.
Our decades of experience in serving the pulp and paper industry allows us to manage, comply, and support pulp and paper mill facilities in an efficient and cost-effective approach, which positions ATS above our competition.
ATS excels at performing shutdowns, turnarounds and outages (STOs) with innovative solutions utilizing technology, project management, planning, teamwork and industry specific experience. As a result, we eliminate downtime while maintaining safe and reliable inspections to get plant operations back online in a timely manner.
ATS' Outage Personnel
Our technicians are thoroughly qualified to perform the vast discipline of NDT inspections all within compliance of API 653, API 510, API 570, AWS-CWI, and ASNT SNT-TC-1A requirements, which enables our clients to focus on other critical operational issues. Due to the adverse environment of a pulp and paper facility with corrosive chemicals, high pressures, elevated temperatures and mechanical operation, it is vital that inspections are conducted with highest level evaluations to ensure capital assets are maintained.
In addition to our highly trained and certified NDT technicians, ATS can deploy a team of professional engineers (P.E.) for applications that require engineering evaluations. Our inspection initiatives implement Mechanical Integrity Programs (MIP), Fitness For Service (FFS), Corrosion Rate and Remaining Life Determination, Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Based Inspections (RBI), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and other risk mediation.
ATS Understands the Difficulties Mills Face Every Day
As the regulatory environment increases, ATS is at the forefront with standard compliance delivering economical and technologically advanced inspections to complete tasks in a professional, proactive and immediate manner. ATS’ goal is to deliver safe and enhanced solutions to the pulp and paper industry all in an effort to manage the demands of plant operations, and provide the information for future forecasting and conformity for our clients.
