Tensile Testing Welding
The tensile testing laboratory at Applied Technical Services offers tensile testing on welding specimens in compliance with relevant codes and standards. Our tensile testing lab contains top-of-the-line technology to provide our clients with accurate and meticulous data. We conduct all tensile tests according to applicable standards and codes such as:
- ASTM E345 — The Standard Test Methods of Tension Testing of Metallic Foil
- ASTM E21— The Standard Test Methods for High-Temperature Tension Tests of Metallic Materials

ATS’ Tensile Testing Lab
Our tensile testing lab employs Professional Engineers, technicians, metallurgists, and analysts with dozens of years of combined experience. The lab is ISO 17025 (A2LA) accredited to perform a multitude of industry-standard testing methods. We regularly perform tensile tests on the following materials:

ATS labs house cutting-edge equipment to conduct various tensile tests. The mechanical testing lab has a maximum force capacity of 400,000lbs. and a maximum temperature up to 1800°F or 982 °C. The polymer testing lab has a maximum force capacity of 10,000lbs. with elevated and reduced temperatures of -19°F to 482°F (-70 °C to 250°C).
