Professional engineers and metallurgists perform a multitude of testing utilizing the latest technology and advancements in scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS/EDAX), visual examination, hardness testing, mechanical testing, chemical analysis, metallographic techniques, and optical fractography. All failure analysis lab testing is performed per industry standards, including ASTM E2332, Standard Practice for Investigation and Analysis of Physical Component Failures, and applicable specialized procedures.
