Applied Technical Services performs magmeter calibration services to ensure the precise accuracy of magnetic flow meters that measure water, chemicals, and other conductive fluids.
Calibrating Magmeters
Magnetic flow meters, also referred to as magmeters, measure the flow of liquids with electromagnetic induction. Magnetic flow meters consist of pipes coated in a non-conductive substance that have two electrodes mounted on the pipe opposite one another. Coils generate a magnetic field, applying voltage to the liquid as it passes through the magnetic field. This voltage is then detected by the electrodes, determining the speed at which the liquid is moving. As the fluid traveling through the magmeter is conductive, even contaminated liquids or those containing small particulates can be measured accurately. Magmeters are commonly used due to their cost-effectiveness, accuracy, minimal pressure drop, and their effectiveness at measuring liquids for a variety of industries, including food and beverage, chemical processing, and water and wastewater treatment.
Magmeter Calibration at ATS
The Applied Technical Services Family of Companies offers an expansive list of calibration services performed in our ISO 17025-compliant calibration lab, at client facilities, and in the field. Our laboratory features highly advanced calibration equipment, is accredited by the A2LA, and is staffed by industry-leading professionals with combined decades of calibration experience. When calibrating a magmeter, our experts identify any flaws and irregularities before providing a detailed account of the current state of the flow meter. Once the magmeter is returned to accuracy, clients are provided with a thorough calibration report that documents every step of the calibration process. All reports are accessible electronically at all times through our iPortal interface.
Additional Calibration Services
In addition to magmeter calibration, ATS performs a wide range of calibration services, including but not limited to:
- Environmental Chamber Calibration
- CMM Calibration
- Tensile Tester Calibration
- Freezer Calibration
- Liquid Meter Calibration
- Footage Counter Calibration
- Concrete Pipe Tester Calibration
- Hardness Tester Calibration
- Centrifuge Calibration
- Compression Test Machine Calibration
