Applied Technical Services has the capabilities to meet all our clients’ hardness testing needs. With our well-equipped mechanical testing lab, ATS technicians are able to determine hardness on many different scales. These scales include Brinell, Rockwell, Superficial Rockwell, Leeb, Webster and Barcol hardness. ATS also has the capabilities to perform microhardness testing using Knoop and Vickers scales.
Examples of items that can be tested range from ballistic shield panels to small springs. Applied Technical Services uses many common testing standards including ASTM E10, E18, A370, E384, E92, A956, A370, ISO 6506-1, 6507-2, EN ISO 9015-2, EN 1043โ1, and 1043โ2.
ATS employees are constantly receiving training on the latest Quality Standards ensuring that clients receive the most accurate results. Furthermore, our labs maintain a list of competency certifications for a variety of mechanical testing methods. We are ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (A2LA) accredited to perform hardness testing methods in accordance with the bolded standards below:
