Gardner impact testing, also known as falling dart impact testing, is a widely used test method for examining the impact strength of plastic samples. During the test process, an engineer positions a sample material inside an impact tester before dropping a weight onto the sample from a predetermined height. Engineers adjust the weight’s mass and the height from which it is dropped until failure occurs.
