Water Resistance and Waterproof Testing
Applied Technical Services offers waterproof testing along with hundreds of other environmental testing services. Our lab experts are experienced in many industry standards including ISO 20653 and IEC 60529, which outline the procedures and ratings for ingress protection testing. ATS assists many manufacturers and product developers in qualifying and certifying their component’s durability.
Examples of IP Testing and Ratings
- IP65 Enclosures — Resistant to Waterjets | Duration 15 Minutes or More | Water Volume 12.5 Litres per Minute | Pressure 30 kPa at distance of 3 m
- IP66 Enclosures — Resistant to Powerful Waterjets | Duration 3 Minutes or More | Water Volume 100 Litres per Minute | Pressure 100 kPa at distance of 3 m
- IP67 Enclosures — Protect Against Immersion up to 1 m | Duration 30 Minutes or More | Immersion at depth of at least 1 m measured from bottom of object and at least 15 cm measured from top of object
