We can perform weight calibration in our labs. We offer calibration in accordance with the most recent ANSI/ASTM, National Bureau of Standards, International Organization of Legal Metrology and NIST Specifications.

Our Weight Calibration Services

Our weight calibration services are an effective way to ensure the mass of test weights are accurate and in alignment with industry standards. Variations in a weight’s mass can have disastrous effects on an application, so our calibration professionals handle calibrations with extreme care. We calibrate a wide range of test types, including but not limited to:

  • Stainless steel weights
  • Precision weights
  • Cast-iron weights
  • Pound weights
  • Hook weights
  • Metric weights
  • Hanging weights

Our calibration services benefit companies in various industries, including manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceutical and chemistry.

The Importance of Test Weight Calibrations

Weight calibration is an essential component of the manufacturing and testing process. The regular calibration of test weights is importance maintains the precision needed to the effectiveness of testing procedures, quality control efforts, and research and development strategies.

Adherence to Standards and Specifications

ATS’ Standards Lab is environmentally-controlled for high precision measurement capabilities. The lab is controlled to 68 degree F within a span of +/-1.0 degree F, and humidity controlled at 30-55 % R.H. The lab also has isolation joints in the flooring to reduce any vibration effects. All gages are cleaned prior to testing and are placed in the Standards Lab in stabilize to temperature for minimum of 24 hours. Applied Technical Services participates regularly in “Round Robin Gage Measurement Proficiency Testing” in accordance with our A2LA Accreditation.

Dedicated to Quality

All calibrations performed include As Found and As Left Data and are traceable to NIST, the National Institute of Standards and Technology and are performed in accordance to documented and controlled procedures. Our Quality Assurance system complies with the applicable requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO 9001:2015, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR Part 21, and ISO/IEC 17025. Upon request, we can provide calibrations that are accredited to A2LA. Please call +1 (888) 287-5227 for more information about our capabilities.
