Calibrating with NIST-Traceable Systems
Experts from the ATS FoC calibrate water meters using NIST-traceable systems with overlapping flow rate ranges. Each system uses a gravimetric time-mass system as a primary standard of comparison during calibrations. As a secondary standard, we use a Coriolis meter for each system. The combined capabilities of our flow systems are:
- Flow rate range: 0.015 to 700 gpm
- Temperature range: -80 ˚C to 95 ˚C
- Pressure range: 0 to 1,000 psig
- Uncertainties as low as 0.06 to 0.10%
This wide range provides multiple points of comparison with various possible operating ranges.

After completing a water meter calibration service, our technicians provide clients with a report of essential information available on our smartphone app:
