RoHS Testing Lab

RoHS Testing Lab
Applied Technical Services’ RoHS testing lab performs compliance testing to provide our manufacturing clients the knowledge they need to get their product cleared for sale in the European Union (EU).
About the Law
The EU RoHS 2 (Directive 2011/65/EU) restricts the use of specific hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), medical devices and monitoring and control equipment. The purpose of RoHS is to control the release of hazardous substances to humans and the environment. Exposure to these hazardous substances can occur during the waste process, when electronics and other products are disposed of and ultimately wind up in landfills. To ensure that their product is compliant with this consumer safety law, manufacturing companies send samples of their product materials to an RoHS testing lab like ATS.
