Environmental UV Testing Services
ATS determines a sample’s resistance to solar radiation through our UV testing services. Sun rays can adversely affect coatings and materials over time. In order to determine their products’ resistance to solar radiation, companies send samples to Applied Technical Services to utilize our UV testing capabilities. Our Environmental Testing division uses their advanced equipment to expose sample panels and actual products to simulated solar radiation and then observe how they are affected. The test parameters can be controlled for exposure intensity, light/dark intervals, relative humidity, and temperature to paint a predictive picture of how the test materials would hold up in real usage.
