Applied Technical Services performs thermal cycling and temperature testing on rubber-based materials in accordance with the standard ASTM D1349, set by the American Society for Testing and Materials, in our rubber testing laboratory.

ASTM D1349-14: Rubber Temperature Testing

ASTM D1349-14 (2019) is a standard that establishes various criteria for subjecting rubber-based materials to temperature and humidity testing. This allows for reliable comparisons to be made between different types of rubber compounds tested at different labs. ASTM D1349 covers standard temperatures, humidity conditions, definitions of terms, and material testing conditioning. The temperature and humidity values established in this ASTM standard can be used as a guide for preparation, processing, mixing, and vulcanizing rubber, though they only require strict compliance for testing the material.
