Level 2 Thermography Training
The Applied Technical Services Family of Companies (FoC) offers level 2 thermography training for level 1 thermographers seeking to improve their understanding of infrared imaging concepts and practices. Upon completion of our training, attendees will be better equipped to deliver high-quality infrared inspections to their clients.
What is Level 2 Thermography Training?
Building on the foundation of level 1 thermography training, level 2 training is an effective way for professionals to improve their ability to interpret thermal images. Level 2 training is heavily focused on radiometric temperature measurement and principles that are important in the following applications:
- Condition monitoring
- Nondestructive testing
- Quality assurance
- Predictive maintenance
Our Level 2 Thermography Training
Our 34-hour thermography training session helps practicing thermographers strengthen their knowledge, improving their ability to navigate real-world situations. The class addresses advanced theories of infrared thermography and covers the following topics:
- Emissivity
- Measurement and spatial resolution
- Inspection processes and strategies
- Reflected temperature compensation
- The limitations of IR mirrors
The training course adheres to the requirements specified in Recommended Practice No. SNT-TC-1A, as outlined by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing.
