ASTM E132: Testing Poisson’s Ratio at Room Temperature
ASTM E132 (ASTM E132-17) demonstrates the testing method used to analyze structural elasticity at room temperature, involving both compressive and tensile forces. Poisson’s Ratio is used in structure design when different types of dimensional changes will have a potential impact. This testing method determines Poisson’s Ratio’s value from uniaxial stress strains from various types of force and requires the highest level of precision.
