Weld Analysis
ATS specializes in weld analysis, testing, and certification. We employ a team of certified technicians, professional engineers, API inspectors, metallurgists, chemists, certified weld inspectors, and certified welders to conduct high-quality services. We test in compliance with several standards, including AWS, API, AMS, ASME, NAVSEA, MIL-STD, and PED/EN. To meet our clients’ various needs, we offer a variety of weld analysis options.
Nondestructive Weld Testing
ATS offers lab and field weld inspection services both domestically and abroad. We inspect piping, valves, pressure vessels, bridges, configured components, and structures for numerous industries. Our professional welding inspection team is certified through the American Welding Society (AWS) to identify surface and subsurface flaws and discontinuities. Some of the NDT methods we use to conduct weld analysis include:
- Liquid penetrant testing (PT)
- Visual testing (VT)
- Magnetic particle testing (MT)
- Ultrasonic testing (UT)
Mechanical Weld Testing
Procedure and performance qualification, as well as the standard research and development processes, all benefit from mechanical weld testing. Providing coupon testing allows us to generate documentation proving a welder’s competency level. ATS certifies welders by using a variety of testing methods to inspect plate and pipe coupons, such as:
- Micro Hardness Testing
