Dimensional Calibration
Dimensional calibration is the process of calibrating an object’s dimensions using a measuring device. It involves equipment that measures the physical size of an object, including angles, diameter, length, and width. It is utilized when measuring a machined part’s specific geometrical properties, including flatness, parallelism, part profiles, and hole position.
Dimensional calibration is present in almost all manufacturing environments, as measurements are pivotal when observing any change or error within the manufacturing process.
