Adjustable Thread Calibration

Adjusted Thread Calibration

ATS has the capability to perform adjustable thread calibration with American Gage Design and Southern Style Thread Ring Gages. ATS has hundreds of thread setting plugs with standards and special pitch diameter in English and Metric. ATS is also capable of calibrating special gages when a setting plug is unavailable from .12 inch to 5.5 inch PD.

ATS takes special care of cleaning and inspecting our customer’s adjustable thread  gage before calibration to ensure the correct fit.

The Standards Lab is environmentally-controlled for high precision measurement capabilities. The lab is controlled to 68 degrees F within a span of +/-1.0 degree F, and humidity controlled at 30-55% R.H. The lab also has isolation joints in the flooring to reduce any vibration effects. All gages are cleaned prior to testing and are placed in the Standards Lab to stabilize at temperature for a minimum of 24 hours. Applied Technical Services participates regularly in “Round Robin Gage Measurement Proficiency Testing” in accordance with our A2LA Accreditation.

All Calibrations performed, including adjustable thread calibrations include As Found and As Left Data, and are traceable to NIST, The National Institute of Standards and Technology and are performed in accordance with documented and controlled procedures. Our Quality Assurance system complies with the applicable requirements of ANSI/NCSL, Z540-1, ISO 9001, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR Part 21 and ISO/IEC 17025. Upon request, we can provide calibrations that are accredited to A2LA. You can also be set up on our web-based interface, iPortal, which gives you access to electronic copies of Calibration Certifications, current asset status, asset history and due date reports for your equipment.
