As these meters are relied on for precise flow rate measurements, regular calibration is required to ensure that these readings are accurate and dependable. The process of calibrating liquid meters has several steps, starting with reference standard benchmarking. If the calibration is taking place in our ISO 17025-accredited calibration lab, the meter is then installed in a controlled environment. The flow rate is adjusted over a specified range to compare measurements with the reference standard while all data is documented. This data is then compared to identify any differences and plan necessary adjustments or repairs. Once these adjustments are made, the liquid flow meter’s measurements are verified to ensure that changes were successful. This entire process is thoroughly documented by our calibration experts and is provided to clients through our iPortal interface, where it is electronically available at all times.
